Limoncello is Cambridge's premiere Italian Delicatessan. The brainchild of proprietor Steve Turvill, it opened in Mill Road on August 28th, 1997 in premises only half its present size. The shop moved to its current location at 212 Mill Road in October 2001.Steve has had a life-long passion for Italian food that was triggered by his first experience of Panettone as a young boy. He carefully selects every product that the shop stocks himself, and makes frequent visits to Italy to find new delights to add to the range on offer to Limoncello's customers.
Some 90% of the shop's stock is imported from Italy, including the four varieties of fresh pesto, olives, cheeses, meats and antipasti. Steve works with a myriad of suppliers in Italy and the U.K. to ensure the best quality products are available.
The major line of non-Italian produce is the fresh-baked products. Steve takes daily delivery of fresh-baked bread from two local Italian bakeries (so one can choose between 'Cambridge bread' and 'Peterborough bread') and bakes on-site a range of baguettes and ciabatta.
Every Saturday and Sunday the on-site baking expands to include a selection of delicious pastries: plain, almond and raspberry croissants, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisons are regulars but there are often extra surprise items like fruit tarts and mini-quiches.
The fresh-baked baguettes and ciabatta are used for Limoncello's well-known and much-loved sandwiches. Each sandwich is hand-made to order and can include just about any combination of the fresh deli items in the store!

Limoncello has built an excellent reputation for quality food and prompt, on-time delivery of prepared Italian food trays in the Cambridge City Centre area. We typically cater for groups of 5 to 50 people, though we have gone as high as 350! Vegetarian choices can always be included and these are prominently labeled.
Our delicious food is carefully prepared to your specifications and price range. All food is freshly made to order and attractively arranged on disposable trays.
Trays of delicious handmade Canapés £25 (+VAT) either savoury or sweet. Prices start as low as £7.50 (+VAT) per person.
Our catering services are available seven days a week (subject to 48 hours notice) and as well as buffet meals we can offer Italian-style breakfasts.
We can also cater for more elaborate private functions such as dinner parties and weddings in and around the Cambridge area, so you can add a truly Italian dimension to your most special occasions.
