The Garden of Winter

We like to think of Limoncello as a little slice of that Italian holiday you enjoyed so much.  A reminder of those happy memories and simple pleasures.  We encourage you to drop in from time to time to soak up the Italian vibe.  Put a smile on your face and in your soul.  And fortify yourself to face the world outside.  This is hospitality as an artform!  Italian style…

The Italian Experience

We always try to make your Limoncello Italian experience as comprehensive as possible.  This starts the moment you walk through the door.  There’s no need for formal greetings – like you’re a stranger to be interrogated.  We prefer the casual familiarity of old friends.  Even if it’s your first time.  It’s the Italian way.

This authenticity extends into our deli and restaurant.  In our deli you’ll find dozens of traditional artisan products sourced direct from Italy.  Perhaps you’re just looking for some pesto or olives.  We have the best in town.  Perhaps you’re looking for some awesome Italian products not as well known in England.  Such as Rio Mare Tuna, La Tur cheese or Galeffi Effervescent granules.  Or perhaps you’re into your truffles.  In which case, stop by – we are Cambridge’s truffle experts.

And our food is to die for!  Whether it’s a light lunch of a hearty feast, we’ve got plenty of options.  Try out our buffalo camembert, lobster ravioli or fresh truffle pizza.  And the best part is that we constantly change our menu with the seasons, keeping your experience fresh for every visit.

Winter Gardens

Of course there are times when our quest to bring a slice of Italy to the heart of Cambridge runs into a little trouble.  Usually due to circumstances beyond our control.  Such as massive disruption to global supply chains.  And, of course, the weather.

Part of what makes any Italian holiday so vibrant is the weather.  The balmy sunlight and the sheer warmth of the day which encourages you to hide away in shady courtyards.  We did a good job of pulling that off during the summer in our lovely gardens and al fresco dining area.

But we’re not about to let a little thing like a change in the weather stop us from bringing warmth to the soul.  So, after a brief makeover we’re introducing our Winter Gardens.  Fully kitted out with heaters, blankets and windbreaks, for your warmth and comfort.  We’re calling it an Italian take on being snug.

We hope you’ll join us during this Christmas and winter season.  And help us to dispel the myth that an Italian way of life can’t survive in the cold…
