Here’s a cool twist on a classic - and thats to say a very large twist. You know mulled wine right? Well, at limoncello we wondered what the result would be if we just used lemon instead of the subtle infusions of various citrus fruits.
The result was something really special - lemon mulled wine - here’s the process and recipe for those of you feeling adventurous:
Pour 10 ml of honey, 150 ml of dry white wine and 20 ml of limoncello into a milk pitcher
Add couple cardamom seeds, lemon and orange zests
Stir while heating, but do not bring to the boil
Fine strain into an glass
Garnish with a stalk of lemongrass
And voila, a very special limoncello mulled wine - a limited time winter addition to our cocktails menu!
